The start page in Opera Browser for iOS has five elements:
- Main menu: accessible from the three-dot menu
- Navigation: Standard navigation, Bottom Search Bar, or Fast Action Button
- Speed Dial: a set of visual bookmarks for your favorite websites
- Recent Tabs from Computer: the three most recent tabs used in your Opera Browser for desktop
- Startpage Carousel: information center with News and Live Scores
Main menu
To access the main menu, tap the three-dot icon.
Navigation
In Opera Browser for iOS, you can choose between Standard navigation, Bottom Search Bar, or Fast Action Button.
To switch navigation options, tap the three-dot icon and then Settings. Scroll down to Navigation and select your preference.
Speed Dial
Speed dials are shortcuts to your favorite webpages, and are displayed on your start page. Opera adds a set of popular sites at installation to showcase the functionality and make a few popular sites easily accessible.
To create a speed dial, visit any webpage, tap the three-dot icon and then the star icon. To Move, Edit, or Remove a speed dial, long-tap the speed dial and select your option.
Recent Tabs From Computer
The Recent Tabs From Computer feature is activated after connecting to the Flow feature. When enabled, the three most recently opened tabs from your Opera Browser for desktop are displayed when managing your tabs. Private tabs will not be displayed.
To connect to the Flow feature, tap the three-dot icon, tap Flow, and follow the instructions there. If Opera on your iPhone or iPad is not connected to your Opera Browser for desktop via Flow, Recent Tabs From Computer will not be displayed.
Startpage Carousel
The Startpage Carousel delivers news, live football scores, and product tips on your start page. When enabled, you can swipe left or right to browse the carousel. You can also tap the carousel for a full-screen view, then swipe down from the top to exit.
To enable the Startpage Carousel, tap the three-dot icon , then enable Live Scores and/or News.
Return to the start page
To return to the start page when using Standard Navigation or the Bottom Search Bar, simply open a new tab, or navigate back using the arrow. When using the Fast Action Button, simply tap the Fast Action Button, or open a new tab.
