Connect to the Web

When you first start Opera Mini, the welcome screen will allow you to test your phone's Internet connection. This welcome screen will be repeated each time you start Opera Mini, until you have successfully connected to the Internet. You can retest your connection at any time using Menu > Tools > Help > Introduction.

If Opera Mini is unable to connect to the Internet, you will need to set up an appropriate access point on your phone. Opera Mini normally uses an Internet or WAP access point to connect to the Internet. If your phone is not yet configured to use either an Internet or WAP access point, you should configure one now. An Internet access point is usually preferred if possible.

Note: Many service providers will allow you to use Opera Mini through a WAP access point, but your service provider may require you to use an Internet access point to use Opera Mini.

Most service providers supply an on-line tool for configuring your phone. Please see the list of known service providers to configure your Internet access point. If your service provider is not listed, please contact them for instructions.
