The Wand
The Wand is Opera's password and form manager. Enable it to let Opera store user names and passwords the first time you enter them, and to automatically fill in personal information in Web forms.
When you visit a Web site with a stored user name and password, you can log in simply by clicking the Wand button on the address bar, or by pressing Ctrl+Enter.
Note that user names and passwords are encrypted on disk. If you want to protect your Wand from other users on the same computer by setting a master password, go to the Security preferences under "Advanced".
Wand passwords can be deleted from or .
Personal information
Some sites require you to fill in personal information such as your name and address. Rather than typing the same information over and over, you can enter it once here.
After entering your personal information in the preferences, you can quickly fill in forms by selecting from a drop-down once you start typing into the field, or by right-clicking the field.
Right-clicking any input field, including chat sessions and e-mail messages, will produce a sub-menu called "Insert personal", where you can select information that you have stored in the preferences.
If Opera recognizes a form field as one you have entered information for in the Wand preferences, you can also use the Wand to fill in the field. Click the Wand button or press Ctrl+Enter.
Tip: Use the "Other" fields for alternate addresses or other snippets of personal information you find yourself repeatedly typing into forms.
