Browsing
Fine-tune Opera's handling of Web pages.
Press Page Down and Page Up to switch slides
Page loading
Under "Loading", set your preference for how soon Opera should attempt to display a page after it starts loading.
Page icons
A Web page can specify a small icon to represent itself. Opera will display this icon in the address field, in the bookmarks, on tabs, and so forth.
The standard method of doing this is to specify link rel="shortcut icon" in the page document. However, on some servers a file called favicon.ico is put in the root directory without a link from the document.
By default, Opera will display both types of icons. You may also choose to ignore both types of icons, or to display only icons correctly linked from within documents.
Scrolling
The scroll bar is normally placed on the right side of the screen, indicating the length of the current document and your current position within it. You may scroll the document by clicking on the arrows in either end of the scroll bar, or by dragging the indicator with your mouse. If you prefer not to see the scroll bar, uncheck this option.
If you scroll using a mouse wheel or the arrow keys, would you like Opera to jump directly to the point in the document you are scrolling to, or do you prefer seeing the document scroll smoothly into position? Enable smooth scrolling if you prefer the latter.
Page size and tooltips
The title bar is the bar at the very top of the Opera application window, which displays the title of your currently active Web page as well as Opera [version number].
Check the "Show Web page size in title bar" setting if you would like the title bar to display the current size of the active Web page before this information — for example if you have made a Web page and want to know how it looks with different window sizes.
When you hover certain elements in Opera or on Web pages with your mouse, Opera displays small tooltips that add information about the element. If you do not want to see them, uncheck the "Show tooltips" option.
You can also have Opera display a dialog to confirm that you want to exit, to prevent you from accidentally closing the application.
Window menu
Opt to display the Window menu on the main menu bar if you want options for resizing, rearranging, and closing tabs and windows to be available from the menu.
