Unregistered versions of Opera display an advertising banner in the user interface. You have three choices:

Buy Opera and remove the ad banner.
Receive ads relevant to the Web pages you are visiting.
Receive random ads with no relation to how you browse.

Relevant ads can be quite useful. Visiting a site about a specific brand of cars, you may get hints on car dealers, fan sites and so on. This information is used only to find related ads, not for any other purposes.

Note that the format of the relevant ads is different from that of the random ads, and that your choice of ads will affect the default browser layout.
