Start-up and home page
The first option lets you select which tabs Opera should open when you launch the browser. You can have Opera launch with the tabs you had open when you last closed the browser, or go directly to a previously saved session or your home page. If you want to choose every time you launch Opera, enable the start-up dialog.
Set a new home page by filling in the address of your most frequently used Web page, or go to the page you want, open the General preferences and click "Use current".
Opera will try to distinguish pop-ups that you have requested (typically log-in pages or similar) from pop-ups launched automatically from Web sites (typically advertising).
You can also choose to block all pop-ups, to open all pop-ups, and to open all pop-ups but only display them behind your other open tabs. Remember that you can also use site preferences for pop-up settings.
Select your preferred language for Opera and for content in Web pages. Note that Opera is not necessarily available in all languages on the list, nor will most Web sites serve content based on your language setting. Should no Opera translation exist in your preferred language, the software will remain in US English, while some Web sites may serve you content in the selected language.
If you have downloaded an Opera language file separately, go to the "Details" dialog to apply it.
